Digital Fortress by Dan Brown

This is one of the few books that has taken me so much time to read, mostly, because of work, but Hey I finished it, YAAAAY Let’s see…Apparently this is also one of the first books written by the author and you can see it’s lacking that obsession someone has while reading his books, because you want to know who did what and how…but here is more like a huge puzzle that will take time to solve until you have all the pieces together.

Here you have a lot of characters, being the principal David & Susan a nerdy couple u could say that won’t take too long for them to show that they both are more than what they appear to be. David will became in a very active spy running for his life in Spain while Susan will find herself caught in a net of lies, deceives and treason, all in all endangering the secretiveness of a governmental agency in USA.

Being the bad guy our typical actors in the movies: a mercenary, such a high military authority blind for attention and recognition and regretful and ambitious father…they will be the responsible to put our protagonist on the edge for their own lives.

If you are like me and enjoy of action thrillers, then this book is a great option for you, easy to read and written at a fast pace ( don’t take my time as a reference, because I was really busy at the time so you will be delighted with this book as soon as it comes to your hands. Not so enthralling as [book:Inferno|17212231] but a really good story nevertheless.

Dancing in the dark by T. L. Martin

Okay it´s been a while actually since I got such a pretty good book to my hands, … so let’s see where
do I begin?

  ADAM MATHEWS

I seriously NEED to speak about him first. I just really need it. This character is slightly different from the former masters I’ve read in so many different books before this one but, of course they all have something in common as well. Adam Mathews, (I would love to give you his real name, but guess you’ll have to read the book to get it right?) he’s one of those characters that you read about and you’re immediately transformed into their world where you have no way of not feeling attracted to him, call I compassion or desire but of one way or another… you are.

He’s the very savage king very in control of himself and every single aspect of his life… until, of course, the arrival of our heroine time in which his so called domain will vanish to make a path to a new ruler, one that he will be able to do the unthinkable, no matter if it costs him his life.

EMMY MAY HIGHLAND

Such a little mouse full of vibrant desperation inside of her, living a life full of agony without her knowing the reason of the why, until the truth reappears in order just to suffocate her with the most endangering explication of why her life has been the way it has all this time, and why herlself no matter how hard she tries will never get to be the whiteness and pureness she once desired.

These 2 characters were not to meet each other, not after what they went through together but for mainly tiny circumstances they will meet again without knowing the real identity that hides their faces.

If you are into black romances, love going to the extremes and have a good stomach for adrenaline and a little bit of gore(well at least for me it was =)) then this is definitely a good option for you.

So come and give it a look.

Gun Shy by Lili St. Germain

“Gun Shy” has a really good narrative and a pretty good pace, told from MPOV so you can be in the shoes of the victim and the criminal…just that in this scenario the book plays with the idea about who the real victim is? And who the real psychopath is? letting your mind fly high with the menu of options you can come to think of.
Telling the story of a tragic love so much more sadder than the one of Romeo and Juliet’s a love already blossomed that nothing and nobody can seem to get to break…until circumstances…happen…or at least that’s what the book makes us all believe. Leo and Cassie are high school sweethearts, knowing each other better than they know themselves but because a psychopath’s greed an accident and a sentence will have to make them apart for almost eight year, letting life to show them the worse things they are capable of endure.
It’s just me and my monster, just us in our house built out of bones and lies. Being as playful as destiny is, they meet again with the same strong love they used to have once, the time apart only being the cause to reinforce it; but now their relationship isn’t as easier as they thought it may be. Cassie is not the very same girl she used to be, Cassie is nothing alike as the girl she used to be being on the claws of a predator for that long she seems unable to escape from his reach risking Leo’s and everyone else’s life in the middle.
Leo’s the same goy just stronger and harder in his principles fighting desperately for the people he loves and the things he believes in…will find new and difficult obstacles to overcome in the way to happiness.
Jennifer, Karen and Hannah; are secondary characters, but not because of it they will be a fade memory in the reading of this book, but all the contrary will leave you with sentiments of anger, remorse, and compassion .
And of course Damon king the monster from this story, that even when you know his story… will still want to rip every single part of his body, because he´s not only living in the dark, but he irradiates darkness as he walks swallowing everyone that comes into his reach as long as he can takes what he really wants.
This is a fast reading, a book completely dark that will make you see life from another perspective. Liked it very much, totally recommended.
