Digital Fortress by Dan Brown

This is one of the few books that has taken me so much time to read, mostly, because of work, but Hey I finished it, YAAAAY Let’s see…Apparently this is also one of the first books written by the author and you can see it’s lacking that obsession someone has while reading his books, because you want to know who did what and how…but here is more like a huge puzzle that will take time to solve until you have all the pieces together.

Here you have a lot of characters, being the principal David & Susan a nerdy couple u could say that won’t take too long for them to show that they both are more than what they appear to be. David will became in a very active spy running for his life in Spain while Susan will find herself caught in a net of lies, deceives and treason, all in all endangering the secretiveness of a governmental agency in USA.

Being the bad guy our typical actors in the movies: a mercenary, such a high military authority blind for attention and recognition and regretful and ambitious father…they will be the responsible to put our protagonist on the edge for their own lives.

If you are like me and enjoy of action thrillers, then this book is a great option for you, easy to read and written at a fast pace ( don’t take my time as a reference, because I was really busy at the time so you will be delighted with this book as soon as it comes to your hands. Not so enthralling as [book:Inferno|17212231] but a really good story nevertheless.

Dancing in the dark by T. L. Martin

Okay it´s been a while actually since I got such a pretty good book to my hands, … so let’s see where
do I begin?

  ADAM MATHEWS

I seriously NEED to speak about him first. I just really need it. This character is slightly different from the former masters I’ve read in so many different books before this one but, of course they all have something in common as well. Adam Mathews, (I would love to give you his real name, but guess you’ll have to read the book to get it right?) he’s one of those characters that you read about and you’re immediately transformed into their world where you have no way of not feeling attracted to him, call I compassion or desire but of one way or another… you are.

He’s the very savage king very in control of himself and every single aspect of his life… until, of course, the arrival of our heroine time in which his so called domain will vanish to make a path to a new ruler, one that he will be able to do the unthinkable, no matter if it costs him his life.

EMMY MAY HIGHLAND

Such a little mouse full of vibrant desperation inside of her, living a life full of agony without her knowing the reason of the why, until the truth reappears in order just to suffocate her with the most endangering explication of why her life has been the way it has all this time, and why herlself no matter how hard she tries will never get to be the whiteness and pureness she once desired.

These 2 characters were not to meet each other, not after what they went through together but for mainly tiny circumstances they will meet again without knowing the real identity that hides their faces.

If you are into black romances, love going to the extremes and have a good stomach for adrenaline and a little bit of gore(well at least for me it was =)) then this is definitely a good option for you.

So come and give it a look.

Gun Shy by Lili St. Germain

“Gun Shy” has a really good narrative and a pretty good pace, told from MPOV so you can be in the shoes of the victim and the criminal…just that in this scenario the book plays with the idea about who the real victim is? And who the real psychopath is? letting your mind fly high with the menu of options you can come to think of.
Telling the story of a tragic love so much more sadder than the one of Romeo and Juliet’s a love already blossomed that nothing and nobody can seem to get to break…until circumstances…happen…or at least that’s what the book makes us all believe. Leo and Cassie are high school sweethearts, knowing each other better than they know themselves but because a psychopath’s greed an accident and a sentence will have to make them apart for almost eight year, letting life to show them the worse things they are capable of endure.
It’s just me and my monster, just us in our house built out of bones and lies. Being as playful as destiny is, they meet again with the same strong love they used to have once, the time apart only being the cause to reinforce it; but now their relationship isn’t as easier as they thought it may be. Cassie is not the very same girl she used to be, Cassie is nothing alike as the girl she used to be being on the claws of a predator for that long she seems unable to escape from his reach risking Leo’s and everyone else’s life in the middle.
Leo’s the same goy just stronger and harder in his principles fighting desperately for the people he loves and the things he believes in…will find new and difficult obstacles to overcome in the way to happiness.
Jennifer, Karen and Hannah; are secondary characters, but not because of it they will be a fade memory in the reading of this book, but all the contrary will leave you with sentiments of anger, remorse, and compassion .
And of course Damon king the monster from this story, that even when you know his story… will still want to rip every single part of his body, because he´s not only living in the dark, but he irradiates darkness as he walks swallowing everyone that comes into his reach as long as he can takes what he really wants.
This is a fast reading, a book completely dark that will make you see life from another perspective. Liked it very much, totally recommended.

Night of cake and puppets by Laini Taylor

For being completely honest??? I actually feel like…if I were in love (and I seriously think that was the point of everything, right?) I’m amazed...didn’t know there was a way to express the actual falling in love in a written word and in one of their most purest ways. I’ve read a lot of books, but none of them have gave me that perfect description of the feeling…of how a lil girl growing up at her own accord goes slowly falling in love

I'm really trying to order my feeling and emotions right here…the whole book I’ve been like :

 Beginning….ok? aha..what’s next….no wonder …acceptable ..yeah

Middle…AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Getting to the end? Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on…!

 Final?... ❤❤❤

"And… all my life I’ve been this tower standing at the edge of the ocean for some obscure purpose, and only now, almost eighteen years in, has someone flip the switch that reveals that I’m not a a tower at all. I’m a lighthouse. It’s like waking up. I am incandescent. "

I can totally say now ( as if I weren’t before) that I’m a totally believer now, not an optimistic person but rather a crazy one that believes that anything good or bad can happen in this world, and this book have gave me one of the most craziest and strongest warming hugs I’ve ever had before …coming from a book…at least not in a long time .

I’ve been apart from book world in a while but this book not only strongly welcomes me to come back, but rather to even bring more people with me in the process…and I’m so trying to do it ..and let’s just say that this book goes really deep in my heart.

PLOT
Zuze is attracted to Mik…Mik is attracted to Zuze…none of them in control of their own actions in front of the other, letting time pass without they never even talking or lets say..even recognizing the very existence of the other

So one day both decide to change that…but Zuze puts way more effort in it…planning a whole treasure-hunt-night in order for them to finally meet. But not quite an ordinary treasure hunt but a magical one one that soon will be an unforgettable one for both of them…and me.

 Loved it

The Cell by Stephen King

Ok, let´s start saying…WHAT THE HELLLLLL??? I mean I wanted to read this book because I’ve already watched the movie, so I was curious then for xmas a couple of friends gave it to me; so I start to reading it.. it was quite boring at the beginning (boring, I mean, for somenone that is not all into the horror and psychological genre ) besides its narrative was too slow as well… just like

Yeah! Not too much into zombies but quite curious after the movie..which I HAVE TO SAY it´s NOT like the book at all. The book made me go like this at the end

While the movie makes me go like:

So yeah..there you go..both things are completely different. PLOT So a normal day, everyone was minding their own business just when out of the blue a weird noise came out of every single cell on earth, turning every single being in some sort of

Just that they were going a bit like

At the beginning and then ..they started to change…going back to…

Plus the faculties of …

Oh and …

Yup.. telepathy And they were all moving like

Herds….they might also consider themselves like birds XD because every single step was always in group.

  CLAY RIDDEL

He’s the hero of our adventure ..a very stubborn hero, nevertheless, but hero still. His main solid and only core was his son.. the thought of finally finding him, no matter if he was one more of them , was his everything. So he goes by every single mean he finds possible in order to get to him. He is one the very few people that weren’t turned into zombie by the pulse and as he continues his travesty he finds some more survivors that joined him in his journey to find Johny…no matter at the end if he woulg get there with them or without them. So at the end?? We kinda find a good ending but..NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO…Stephen King had to go and leave with an open ending which does not happen in the movie not the I like the end of the movie either, though but come on!!!! Why r u doing this to us’??? that’s the very horror of this book itself!

MY CRITIC
For being the first book of King that I’ve real I would say that was a bit…

But I did like it the comparison with the computers….quite interesting plot but honestly? I’ve expected way more than this

Become corrupted by Julian Napier

Okay... this one was quite....
short It´s a good story to understand the importance of Louise and Jess,
before everything goes
We go to the days before of how Louise met Anthony
while she thinking he was
when actually he was more like...
"Each and every time she has shown interest in a guy, the girl falls for people because her heart is bigger than anybody else’s but her greatest asset is her biggest downfall. She cares so much and sees the best in each and every person however I know that she would see the best in a serial killer."
So this is the beginning of how everything is going to continue. A really good shortie.

The cock in me by Julian Napier

OK, this is the first review I do in …..I believe …a whole year, and what a way to coming back and starting this year but with a very GOOD LAUGH LOL, yeah by the name of it and that sexy cover, you might think it would be about a mighty , classic shifter such as:
But quite a SURPRISE when instead of this
description
You get this… description Anyway, yeah the book has an argument quite ridiculous, I mean the author himself says it
” If you enjoyed this book then there must be something wrong with you because I wrote it with the sole purpose of wasting your time.”
so don´t get me wrong =D We start with a horny stud doing of his own with any girl he likes, because come on! Yeah he is a were-chicken the only things he has to worry about are: 1.Finishing like this 2. Or being caught
” Imagine the shock when she reached back and instead of firm skin, her hand landed on the feathered chest of a six-foot-tall were-chicken. ”
But things are about to change because suddenly his GOAL OF LIFE appears
”Life of laziness here I come.”
And the only thing he needs to do in order to get it done is caught a certain someone that will actually, be the one catching him first.
“I don’t know what to do. I need to choose between the best sex ever and a chance to have the father I always wanted. “
And there´s exactly where the trip begins. If you are looking for a book that doesn’t take you a lot of time and actually makes you say a loud ..” what the hell is going on?”, and that would guarantee you to finished it with a smile plastered in your face…then THIS IS THE BOOK FOR U Awesome way to start the year. Thanks a lot Napier.
