Landline by Rainbow Rowell

There's not much to say about it.
I started it with the idea that it'd be a hell of a great reading but it didn't make it for me... it was just a definite ahemm....nope.
It has a good base, it makes us laugh a few times due to the principal character's paranoia ( which I believe it's based on the author nevertheless) and the effect it gives the phone allowing us the fiction and magical part was pretty good, really, but guess it could have used it in a better way making it more complex and such.
Maybe for a married couple would have a different meaning because the book gives you the prerogative of "what would have happened if you 2 wouldn't have married?" so yeah it has a pretty good argument.
But I insit it could have been way better with a bit more of drama.
Was an easy and fast reading.

Not too many quotes I like in here...sorry.

Cowboy Games by Audrey Randall

Cowboy Games by Audrey Randall
Cowboy Games is a STANDALONE HEA! Will Lana save a joystick and ride a cowboy? Let the first chapter lasso you in! Lana “Frack! This can’t be right!” Lana tapped on the GPS screen on her fun little rental car. Pulling to the side of the deserted Montana road, Lana couldn’t help but take a look at the natural beauty outside. It would have seemed more awe-inspiring if she hadn’t felt so lost. A hundred miles from the nearest hint of civilization recognized by Google Maps was not the place to be lost. Lana’s over active mind began to imagine the animals waiting to eat her, out in the forest or other worse fates that she had seen on the news back home in Berkeley. Pulling out her phone, she noticed that she had no bars. “Frackity frack frack frack! For the love of Zelda!” Opening the car door, she stepped out to see whether she could get any bars at all. A part of her knew that it wouldn’t make any difference, but it didn’t stop her from trying. No more bars appeared, which led Lana to make the conclusion that she would have to trust the GPS. It was that or turn back. And since she knew there was nothing but a run-down gas station fifty miles behind her, she figured that her bladder would rather she try to move forward. She knew that she had been taking a risk traveling out here to meet her longtime online friend, Solar Cowboy. Even now, she couldn’t believe that she had trekked out to the middle of nowhere to meet this person. Who did that? She berated herself for the tenth time in the last hour. Lana had met a lot of people through The Celestial Prophesy, but few she had connected with like Solar Cowboy. Not in the romantic sense, but as a kindred friend. She had never met him before, but, but it really didn’t matter. When she had told him of her and her best friend/ teammate, Steph’s plan to make a camp for underprivileged girls to learn coding and experience life, he had suggested that she consider his Montana ranch. He had played up how the girls could learn to ride horses, lasso, and code all in one week. When Lana had mentioned it to Steph, she had loved the idea. So, here she was in the middle of nowhere to scope out this ranch. “Great idea, Lana. World-class idea to come out to the middle of nowhere to meet a guy you really don’t know. What if he’s an ax murderer?” Looking over her shoulder at the road traveled, her bladder insisted that she move forward toward hopefully, a bathroom. If she didn’t find civilization soon, she’d be squatting for sure. Getting back in the car, she huffed as she resigned herself to trusting the car GPS that she hoped had been upgraded in the last year. “Should have downloaded the directions on your phone before you left, dummy!” She pounded the steering wheel with her palm before she pulled the mustang back onto the desolate highway. Jesse “What the fuck are you doing, Cody?” Jesse couldn’t help but laugh as he watched his seventeen-year-old brother race around the house throwing things this way and that. “Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the cleaning, but why now? What’s your rush?” “She’s coming!” Cody let out almost a boyish squeal as he loaded up his arms with clothes and other random junk that had been lying around. Jesse followed his brother’s mad dash into their bachelor-pad like kitchen. Jesse rarely understood his younger brother. Cody had always been geeky. Preferring to spend time on his computer rather than riding the range with Jesse. Often Jesse felt bad for Cody. He had been born in the wrong place. He would have been much better suited in the Silicon Valley rather than Somewhere Valley, Montana. After the sudden death of their parents when Cody was fourteen, Jesse had hoped that he could find a way to bridge their gap of personalities, but no such luck. “Fuck! She’s almost here and it looks like this?” Cody whined. If you like smokin' hot cowboys, then this one is for you! All the sexy cowboy without the cow smell! For 18+.

Okay first of all, let me tell you this: You have absolutely no excuse to not read this book

What do you have to loose huh?
Now what to say?
Seriously I think I have a thing for the geeks & cowboys

who can blame me, though
Okay what is this book about?

Yep! Video games…that is the main scenario here.
Now who are the characters? XD

Aimee
A sweet second graders teacher that is as beautiful an shy, just your regular good friend, the one that would never wear hills and a short dress to go to a gathering afraid she might call unwanted attention. But also a twin sister of a famous crazy videogamer… that now will call the sister’s card in order to make her do a lil favor that will end up more like been a favor to her boosting just enough her personality so she can have her bravado and get theguy of her dreams

Daemon
A sexy as hell video gamer that for some reason know how to take care of his body and has washboard abs and such strong and round biceps that will leave anyone of us drooling and that of course, will get him any gir he wants… but the thing here is that his body, apparently, will not

Now the plot?
The plot is pretty easy and funny as you can not imagine, if I tell you a lil something I’m sure I could ruin you the surprise so I’m just gonna bite my tongue and tell you , that you only need a few hours to be happy at your heart’s content and sated with all the steamy hot scenes that these two will give us .

And the bonus story??….

yummy

I think I might already have done that dance

**Full rev on its way as soon as I have a glass of water and get rid of the smile on my face**

Review: Catch a Tiger by the Tail

Catch a Tiger by the Tail Catch a Tiger by the Tail by Charlie Cochet
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A New Design

Oh God! I couldn’t agree more NORMAL is totally OVERRATED! .
Sixthh book following Destructive Delta Squad from THIRDS story.
This time? Calvin & Ethan.

A New Design

So yeah! a sweet love bubble formed around these two guys, that f*ck, seriously? They have gone thrugh a lot ..REALLY A LOT good , bad…awful and nightmare-ish things…together
And after struggling they both come to the realization that they are made for each other.
But that doesn’t diminish all the perks of the work they do, and that… just ah…

A New Design

Tell me if THAT didn’t break your heart even a tiny bit.

A New Design

Now, you wanna know why the hell I love this series?, as if what you just read above is not enough,XD. Well … this series gives you
• Drama
• Fiction
• a pretty good plot with enough details to let you be absorved into this world and take it as your own
• sexy times
• Enough detiled action scenes that you’ll feel like watching an endless Die Hard movie all along.
• and LOL times so hard that you won’be able to hold the tears in your eyes and your tummy to hurt.(believe me! I’ve been there)

“I think I’ve died and gone to heaven. Except I know I haven’t because Ash is here.”

A New Design

Dex looked horrified. “I do not want to hear about what this fiend gets up to in the bedroom with my innocent little brother.”
“Innocent?” Ash laughed, receiving a glower from Cael. He cleared his throat. “No, you’re right. It’s all me.”
Cael rolled his eyes.

And that was just a tiny little peek from the Sixth book of the entire series…imagine how it would be…reading it whole
I even cried and ….screamed with this book in particular.
CAN’T WAIT FOR THE NEXT TO COME!

----------------------------------------------------------------
Oh my dear God! When is book 7 coming ?! You just can't leave me like this, I need to know what's gonna happen , please is Dex going to become a therian or something like that?

OMG! And Rafe! Noooooooooooo just no, how could you ? How the author gave him that disease?!!! Argh I spent the whole chapter 10 through tears!
Hudson...just my lively lobito...arghhhhhhhh!

Okay, as you all can see I'm still with a strong hangover of feelings with this book, and I can also say that this is for much, the most emotional book in the series!

Full long rev to come, and I warning you that this one, will have spoilers
..don't think I can't make it without them!
Sh*t this is not looking good! I have heartache...not sure how I will sleep, given that's 4am right now!

I'm just too wired in all this still.

Review: Unwrapping Hank

Unwrapping Hank Unwrapping Hank by Eli Easton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh dear! It's been a while since a 5 stars reading and gosh!!!! I hate it took me so much time to read this one.

This is my first reading about the actual coming out, how he has to go through all the process to be finally honest with himself and embrace the truth. Love all the doubts, struggles, problems...every single thing of it.

So, as in most of good stories, here we also start to play above the thin line of love & hate
hank1

which also makes room to study each other in this battle of wills, which also brings some details at light...
hank2

and also in a book so full of cleaver humor and sassy, funny moments ...here's the main message:
hank3

all comes together in order to make me go like:

Review: Honeymoon from Hell IV

Honeymoon from Hell IV Honeymoon from Hell IV by R.L. Mathewson
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

So this is the 4th installment that tells how the Bradford curse of going in a honeymoon within the first year of marriage would end up in total chaos so this is how many, many , many years ago this started.

ROBERT
Remember the tradition that a Bradford guy just took his bride to marry him, without giving her pretty much any option at all? Well that’s what happened and now we have a handsome ex rich boy working his ass in order to provide for his family just like this:
A New Design
But he couldn’t do all of this without his reason to live
A New Design

ELIZABETH
Now we have a fierce and independent woman that is crazy in love with ther husband and in order to do her part she goes like:
A New Design

THE CURSE
Robert tried to take her on honeymoon in order for both of them to get rest…let’s see how well that goes since the very beginning…

THE KIDS

Two stubborn and crazy for the antics parents…what else can we expect from their kids huh?

So at the end with everything they go through, they don’t forget:
A New Design

So we have a few of hot:

2.5 actually.
Not so funny as I hope, but it did the trick for me in a very tiny scale. I was expecting more, but either way I stil have Double Dare and Honeymoon from Hell V to go.
Given that those are contemporary...the plot might give me more LOL times !XD

Review: The Game Plan

BLURB
Spend the next 40 years in prison or break her lease early? Normally she’d be able to say that this one was a no-brainer, but things have definitely changed since she was forced to move in across the hall from Danny Bradford. A lot of things…… She wanted to get through one day, just ONE day without Danny Bradford doing something to test the limits to her control, but with that damn smile of his and his habit of leaving her contemplating manslaughter, she didn’t see that happening anytime soon. He loved his family, but some days……. It was too much, but that was okay, because his small neighbor living across the hallway provided him with endless hours of entertainment. Not on purpose of course, but did it really matter as long she made him smile?
MY REVIEW The Game Plan

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Not as funny as I thought it would be
Being honest with the saga, this book wasn’t remotely close to be as fun as any of the preview books in it, not as many pranks as I’d love and even the characters themselves already knew how that would end; but I think that was funny as well- I mean the cousins already knew she would be his future wife, right?- I’d like to read a more detailed prank war to at least have myself a little LOL time.
That story itself, as I said before wasn’t so funny; the only constant part of it was that the heroine was constantly out of herself due to bad reactions to medicine- that was unreal and hilarious as well.
Something that didn´t describe at perfection was the reason of her nickname-because if someone tells me that is due to her height, that really is not fair.
The guy – as any other Bradford guy- was dreamy and yummy-come one! It was an ex marine! - but really I would like to read more about the pranks, the only actual pranks that he got to do – and only because it happened that he was close by – were the one with Zoe’s food and the one in the library with the kids, the rest were when they were already together, and not a big deal.
Okay enough of that, what is this book about? As always a Bradford guy making a hell of a life to his neighbor next door. Remember Trevor from book 2? Okay, he is now a happy married – with Zoe of course – and hot daddy- literally – who now rents apartments to people – more specify – to his cousin and some people, because Zoe is so generous. And yeah a Residence where is more than one Bradford promise to be a living war zone, but for a girl who is currently saving every penny to pay a debt left by his fucking asshole of ex fiancé; is something that she is resigned to deal with, except for the crazy pranks – go figure what? - of a certain neighbor that goes out of his way only to make her live more miserable than already is. The thing is, even if she wants to kill him, and spend all his money paying her defense attorney she also finds him very hot, and soon more.
So the heroe here, an injured ex marine, whose life is being more than watched out by his family in order to get him a happy life- which he is actually pretty sick of it, but how can make a concerned family stop at it ? who knows? – what he only wants is a woman to share his life with; the thing is that he doen’t find someone that fits in that description and in top of that his family seems pretty focus in giving that tittle to his little neighbor, why?, that goes beyond him! Until a really gross incident with Zoe’s food, Trevor’s mistake, a hot and cold shower- really needed to counterattack an infection – will in mere seconds change that perspective.
So the game plan? taking everything slow and making her fall in love with him so deep that she wouldn’t be able to see another man on the earth beyond him…. The thing here is , like not everything turns out the way you planned them.
I should say that as any other book in the series, it is too sweet! So yeah I enjoyed it, I only would love to read more pranks to have a LOL time, and the hot scenes, remember taking everything slowly? Well he did stick to his word in every letter- I mean just look this question :
“What feels better, f*cking you with my fingers or my tongue?.”
and that was only phase one in his game plan.
He wanted what his cousins had, he realized with a groan. He wanted Jodi to look at him the way that his cousin’s wives looked at them. He wanted someone waiting for him when he came home at the end of the day, someone to hold in his arms at night to fight off memories that were left forgotten, and he wanted that someone to be his Tinkerbell

Oh also , it was about a family, having a real family that is always there for you and have your back and gets worried about your wellbeing as for who could possibly hurt you – gnoing to the extent to get your girlfriend wanted to dig a whole and go to China out of fear- it was so unbelievable ; but then again I guess that actually must be families like that out there, right? –

Review: Truce

BLURB
This is the story before everything... Elizabeth knows what’s expected of her, perfection. She’s the daughter of an Earl and expected to marry well, say and do the right things with a smile on her face when inside she’s dying for a chance to escape. Thanks to an inheritance her godmother left her years ago, her chance will come with her next birthday. Her hopes of escape abruptly end when Robert, her childhood nemesis that she hasn't seen in over fourteen years, comes back into her life and does everything he can to drive her out of her mind even as he steals her heart. He hated her. At least, he tried to hate her, but it was so damn difficult to hate someone that he couldn't live without. He tried to ignore her, tried to focus on anything but her, but nothing worked. Somehow she made her way into his heart and started to make him want things that he never thought possible, made him smile and laugh even while she drove him out of his mind and started a legacy by turning him into... A Bradford.
MY REVIEW Truce Truce by R.L. Mathewson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I LOVE IT!
This book have kept me gasping more than any other in the series! It's such a beautiful story, seriously it kept me gasping with all the obstacles and problems that Robert and Elizabeth went through, and wow it really was an awful time to life in, for a woman at least, I mean from all the things that happen to Elizabeth about her dowry and all those conditions that her father happily never told her about, because he was so determined to make her marry. That's awful!!!!
And of course was such a great beginning with all the anonymous thing that both character played at the start in the orangery hahaha.
Oh anyway this is definitely one of my favorites and I'm pretty sure that it will remain in my thoughts and heart for a very good time.
Even thought it haven't quite explained how the obsession for the food started on the family, but definitely explained why no Bradford ASKED their wives to marry them... A lot !

Review: Checkmate (Neighbor from Hell #3) by R.L. Mathewson

BLURB
There’s nothing worse than living next door to your childhood nemesis, except maybe being forced to share your dream project with him, being blackmailed into going along with something that was just wrong on so many levels, and having your hot cocoa stolen by the person that drove you to drink it in the first place. As long as she has plenty of hot cocoa, a pair of pliers on hand and is able to resist Connor O’Neil's bad boy charm then Rory James should be able to make it through this project with her sanity intact. If not... She’d probably face a few more nights in jail, have a few more restraining orders slapped against her and lose her heart to the man that ruined her life.
MY REVIEW Checkmate Checkmate by R.L. Mathewson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I LOVE IT , I LOVE IT ,I LOVE IT ,I LOVE IT ,I LOVE IT ,I LOVE IT ....!
I'm so fucking love it !!!
Since the beginning til the end it's just a non stopping laughing!!!!
I live Rory ! She has become one of mu favorite heroine! And the antics, the pranks, the jokes, oh my god, the Bradfords and their really alarming and shocking obsession with food!
I'm so in love of this series, as much as I am with"friend-zoned" series, I never imagine there could exist people so crazy with baked goods, hahaha.
Okay focusing on the story I love the acting of Connor, I'm so in live of that name since I read "all that he wants " by Olivia Thorne , anyway I mean it really was way too touching all what he'd done for her over the years and how he went and asked permission to her father in order to marry her. All what he did at her 18th birthday. And what she did with Andrew , the whole thing about donating... If weren't so many reasons that the book got me laughing as crazy I would be crying in those moments.
And a few of my favorite parts were when the Bradfords made their appearance, it's really cute to know that all of these could happen inside of a really big family, and that I come from one very nig , I just can't quite het enough of this family , the baked goods, the food obsession , the pranks... I just don't want it to end it .
