Ok, Ash and Cael…

You know what? Given that this is Ash , that we are talking about, I was expecting a lot more of times of wanting to kill him; but he actually behaved pretty good… that’s love. I mean come on , read this:

”So why don’t you want to give us a chance?”“Because I don’t want a chance. I want a whole lot more. I want everything with you for as long as I can get it. I’m terrified of messing up.”

How to be angry with him? I was more like:

I was pretty sad by Ash’s past, his parents, Arlo… and his awful father, really he was a big idiot… so I guess we get to understand why Ash is how he is, right? While Cael? … if he would be straight, I would be totally over him, bust as he’s not… I’d be more than happy by just being his friend. OMG Cael! You really showed us a whole new side of you, sweetie!

I got the feeling that I was more caught into the background story, than in the development of their relationship ‘cause Ash had already acknowledged it in some way… so I was more focused in the whole mess happening to Sloane and Dex’s reactions and the whole new ‘Ash-Dex’s team’… reading how well they were working together and how they were supporting together in some sort of way( well, their way) was priceless.

(ok, they changed the hair color. )

The development of Dex and Sloane relationship has me in awe still, it´s so beautiful and now I’m pretty much concerned about Hobbs and Calvin; I understand the fears Hobbs has ’cause he doesn’t want to lose his best friend… but he really needs to give it a try!

Zach and Austen wuhuuuu! I didn’t see that one coming! Austen is a subtle version of Dex, while Zach, kind of reminds me of Hobbs in some sort of way; being big and kind I guess, and how he is so prejudiced by everyone all the time… I’m sorry Yogui Bear, You’re a kind soul.

Sparks what the hell, woman?! You tricked us all!!! TIN MEN??? WTF? Just when I though this couldn’t get better (about the background action story, of course!) wait, and now what?! They’re going to go undercover just like Sparks!?

So, here’s the sweet part:

”I’ve never met anyone like you. You’re so beautiful. And the best part is, you’re not even aware of how wonderful you are”Cael shrugged bashfully. “I guess you bring out the best in me.”“That’s where you’re wrong.” Ash took Cael’s hands into his and place it to his heart. “You bring out the best in me. I had no idea what my life was missing before I met you.”

Oh! And Sarge Maddock!

Sloane looked up. “Hm?““That yellow and baby blue album with the little lion on it is Dex’s baby album.”Dex gasped. He made a dive for it, but in true Dex fashion , he lost his balance and hit the carpet instead. With a smile, Sloane pluck the album from the table. “Thanks, Cael.”With a groan Dex sat up. He kicked at Sloane’s foot.“Ow. Why are you assaulting me? ”“You could have saved me, you big dork. Instead you went for the album?”Sloane blinked at him. “But if I grabbed you, then I wouldn’t have the album.”Dex propped their dad’s leg. “And what’s your excuse?”Their dad didn’t even bother looking up from the album in his hand. “It’s not my job to kiss your ouchies anymore.” He jabbed a thumb in Sloane’s directions. “That’s his job now. “

Sorry, I couldn’t help to quote all of it! I loved that scene! Oh yeah! And then…

”Sloane, save me!” Dex used the furniture as cover as Ash stalked at him. At least Dex had an advantage over Ash. Having grown up in this house. Dex was familiar with every nook and cranny.“Sloane? There’s no Sloane here,” Sloane replied.” Apparently just a big dork.”Dex popped his face up from the behind an armchair. “Have you not sympathy for my impeding demise?”Sloane opened Dex’s baby album and chuckled. “Aw, look at you! You look like a little burrito.”

Always carried away. So… barely waiting for the next books… and LOVING THIS SERIES!!!!

What can I say that I haven't repeat in the last books? have I already said I'm crazy over them? Have I already said that I want my own therian? have I already said that I'm crazy over Dex and that Sloane has become one of my favorite Book boyfriends by far( I think he and Dex are definitely in my top ten of book boyfriends)

Ok, so the first part of the book I was just dying of nervousness about what happened to Sloane, it was so unfair... and how all the three of them were wanting to take the blame instead of let the other one to suffer... it just broke my heart.

Then I think we got to see a whole new side of Dex by 60% of the book, I mean I kne Dex was a great and determined detective; but wow! He really wore his big kick ass detective boots and went after the guy, consequences be damned! I was quite impressed, really! Come on! The guy barely sleep; I think he barely was eating his gummy bears!!

The whole book is more focused about the developing and growing feelings of Sloane and Dex, and I liked pretty much the idea that each one of them got to experience by themselves and considered his own feelings without the necessity of the presence of the other one... I mean Sloane got to realize that he actually needed Dex

”What would I do without you?”“Lead a quiet, peaceful existence?” Dex teased.Sloane frowned. “Sounds boring as hell.”

”From the moment I met you , you’ve been driving me out of my fucking mind. I’ve never known anyone who makes me want to laugh and scream at the same time. When you asked me to stay with you, I thought it would expose the faults in our relationship. And now? When you’re not here, I wish you were. God, I even miss your stupid music. I want the Dex that drives me crazy. The one who laughs at his own jokes and eat snacks at inappropriate times. And I want to wake up with him every day. I want his beautiful eyes and breathtaking smile to be the first things I see when I wake up and the last things before bed ”

while Dex even though, he was blind for justice and revenge for Sloane, that after his well-deserved reprimand; he was able to said aloud what he was feeling for him. They were practically one person already.

For the first time in his life, he was a hot mess over a guy. Then again, Sloane Brodie wasn’t just any guy. He was rolling summer and sweet breeze. Passionate, complex and intense. Mysterious and brooding. He made Dex laugh, beg and want to scream. With one look he could crush Dex’s heart , with one whisper have him on his kness, It was terrifying and exhilarating.

And when they finanlly were true with each other…. Wow! I’m just in awe and how Sloane’s therian side was exposing so much due to his feelings for Dex… I’m so… aww!

Sloane’s human side wanted to relinquish everything to the man in his arms, while his feral side wanted to possess him.

I’m still kind of amazed by Dex spying on Hobbs and Calvin! And still thrill about Sloane beins so open with his relationship in front of his team.

And about Ash…he better made a decision already! At least he gave part of the truth to Cael. The kiss…. Aww!!! I want to punch him so badly!!! I’m all team CAEL! so please stop hurting him!!

And yes, Ash! Dex also comes included in the whole package!!

Sloane couldn’t help teasing. “You’re in love with Dex’s brother. Do you know what that means?”“First of all, adopted brother. They don’t share the same genes. Second of all, what the hell are you talking about?”“Those two are attached at the hip. They hang out all the time, borrow each other’s stuff, share a lot of the same quirks, get excited over the same things, are both sugar addicts and total geeks. You’ll have Dex in your hair All. The. Time.”Ash ‘s horrified expression had Sloane laughing.“You’re such a dick, you know that? I hadn’t even thought of it.”Sloane couldn’t stop himself from laughing.”Still interested on being part of the family?”“Not even Daley can ruin what I feel for Cael”“Wow. Then it must be love.” Sloane teased

Maddock…hahaha I just can’t take Dex going Pocahontas out of my mind!! I just can’t, dear God… that has to be one of the best endings I’ve read so far !!!!

Review: Rack & Ruin (THIRDS, #3)

This story has coming out to be one of the biggest one that I’ve ever read so far.

I don’t even have words, I think I just want to immerse myself in the books and never go out from them. They have everything since a whole load of action, to antics and lots of fun, as drama as well.

Sloane has become so quickly in one of my favorite book boyfriend, even if he really runs out my patience at some points, not very often , but still; he relly has go through a hell of things and back I just can’t stand the thought of him going through all of that, the same happens with Ash.

Oh My! Ash!!! How many awful things can a person feel guilty for an entire life?, what happened to him, his brother… I’m just speechless, no wonder he doesn’t feel he deserves bein unhappy and ”straight for the rest of his life… but what he doesn’t get is that; that is not life!! How can he get to live if he isn’t allowing himself the opportunity to feel happy not even but a second? I’m so sorry for him!! Really I can barely wait to read the part whe he gets to realize the mega asshole he is being and that he just can’t keep being like that, or he lose everything he holds dear… again.

Dex (Dexter Justice Daley , please!) … wow I really admire him, I thought I was constantly ( and sometimes annoyingly )happy, but God! Dex surpasses me in every way and his patience, his kindness… I think he just became my own particular type of angel! Really! Is so f*cking awesome the way he gets to understand Sloane and he’s so astute and funny and… I think every reader is in love of him.

And Cael… oh boy! Hang in there sweetie boy! Hang in there, make him suffer a little bit if you like… but don’t be so rough with him , he just can’t handle it, that’s the way he is… but he’ll come along you’ll see. HE HAS TO !

There’s not much to say of this book without getting into spoiler and I’m not a fan of those; I’m just gonna say that this is like of freaking good tv series that develops slowly in my head and immediately makes me laugh and wanting to know where the hell the next lead is gonna take the team and grinning and smiling like a crazy teen to the prospect of hooking all the guys with their respective couples they’re really are incestuous! Ha!

Jesus Christ, MTV would make a mint with a reality TV show about their unit.The relationship drama alone would carry the ratings, forget the actual fieldwork.

That’s fucking true!! I would record the program, and would be all fangirling about them, with letters, stalking and everything. No one could have said it better!

As silly as his partner could be, Sloane hope he never changed. It wasn’t that Sloane felt old, because he didn’t and he wasn’t, but he’d been through a lot in his life. Being around Dex made him feel lighter, stopped him from taking himself too seriously.They had fun together. He never thought his lover could also be his closest friend.

That’s love!

”When you ask me how I do it , How do I stay so upbeat all the time? That’s how. When the job starts getting to me, I go to my happy place. I know it’s nostalgic bullshit, and I’m a grown man-“
“Fuck that”
“You had a great childhood, Dex , with a family that loved you and accepted you. There was and still is, a whole lot of love in your family. If listening to your music makes you think of good times, makes you feel good inside, then forge everything else. Who gives a shit what anyone else thinks?”

You’ve just became a part of my happy place as well.

He even dared to hope he’d have a normal life with someone who cared about him, who wasn’t afraid of him . Maybe even… love him

”I’d put my neck on your jaws without a second thought”, Dex said hoarsely, his eyes reflecting fire and a trust the likes of which Sloane had never seen.

Review: Blood & Thunder (THIRDS, #2)

This one is been a hell of a ride so far, It took me from being emotional to laughing as crazy, to awing, to harboring murder desires; as well as wanting to knock some sense inside that fucking tough skull inside Sloane's head.

All of that enveloped in a interesting background of full action, and yeah! some hot scenes as well, not as much as I'd love to read, but nevertheless.

This one is focus on Sloane and Dex relationship, ( also we get to see a huge glimpse of the other male member relationships[ And I'm with Cael on this, Ash is definitely not totally allergic to nuts when it concerns him!])

And I'm also glad to say that I didn't skip any paragraph of this one, 'cause the descriptions weren't long this time or at least they were long enough but kept giving us some info about the action going on in that moment. At least!

I was like this the whole time:

The book focus mainly in Dex and Sloane relationship, since the training with your therian partner on the HQ, where Sloane was mainly a big grumpy cat claiming his beloved Dex,

to they sneaking around trying to do some naughty things inside work's schedule ( hey! they needed a break ! leave them alone!)

To the spending time going crazy with their friends ( Cone on ! I'm totally using that "Fuck.Marry.Kill- game" in my next drinks night)Threat Level : Fuchsia, ladies and gentlemen, Fuchsia!!!

their action time on field, where I have to say , he was pissed because he almost loose Dex 'cause he desobeyed his direct orders, that's it. The fear to loose him, which lead to have feelings fr him, feeling that were meant to be something more, that he was afraid of to admit that was lla the thing, i still can't believe he was about to do some legal action for that!!! what an ass!

Then , finally after two book I get to understand what was the big fuss about Sloane's past, which is not a big deal at all! I was expecting quite something more outrageous ( I'm pretty sure everyone else have read worse than that) but as Dex said it wasn't Sloane's fault at all, he was just a frightened kid, no one could blame him for that, even though is sad... but it was not his fault.

Okay, going emotional over there XD

Pearce??? that guy was seriosuly crazy ! what in the world would make him believe that he still had a chance with Dex??!! hello!! he almost killed him!!I thought I was still gonna keep reading about him on the next books, but looks like the story got another twists in th future to make it more interesting.

Now about the guys, I might be crazy ,but when they're all in crazy fun mode, I kept visualizing them like this:

The world might go to shit tomorrow, but tonight, while he had Dex in his arms, everything was as it should be. Dex was right; they had been through a lot. In the end wether that would hurt their relationshio or strenghten it, who knew, but at least they were inthis together. From here on out, Sloane knew whatever happened, his partner had his trust, his back, and more importantly, his heart.

I want my own therian!

Review: Hell & High Water (THIRDS, #1)

F*ck that was awesome!

hahaha looks like I'm embracing my passion for action or something like that! I was never a fan of cliffhangers, because really, I'm not that patient; but given that the next books are already published I guess I can take it.

Really I was a huge tremendous big fan of Fury(the whole series), wait did I say "was"? AM , I AM a huge tremendous big fan of the whole NSO series; and I just can't stop myself to see some similitudes between that serie and apparently this one, but I'm not looking forward to say more, 'cause I haven't read this whole series yet! But yeah ! at least from this first one ... I can totally say there are a few similitudes:

* Both happen to have a whole new serie of humans, whose DNA is mixed with animals.

* Both species are being rejected by human pricks.

* Both species have their own organizations to protect themselves with.

* Both books are military stories, so they have their very own Die Hard version story to tell.

* And yeah both of they have tons of great hot sex ( well NSO goes winning by a big ammount if I'm concerning only to the first books of each series)

* And both have these

ehhrr... hot guys in them (those are Sloane and Cael BTW. XD)

So yeah... those are the most obvious I can come up with, and I can tell that I'm really into books with that kind of characteristics in them.

So, some differences if you ask me? well this one is more lighted and funnier than NSO ( they got funnier past the first 3 books, but nothing close to what I've read in the first one of THIRDS ) and also the NSO narrative doesn't get too heavy on descriptions, they're more like jumping straight into action ( in every meaning of the word), so the reader doesn't have to want to skip some whole paragraps about cars, houses, workshops or even streets XD no offense there.

Now that I got that out. Let me say this: I don't see how Dex is weird or different or anything related at all, he's just a happy guy that wants to squeeze all the juice he can get of the life. I admit that he has some weird tastes concerning music and gifts wrapping paper... but beyond that?....Nahhhh! So why all the guys picked up on him ? only because is happy? ... tha's is f*cking unfair!... you know there are some persons out there that the only wrinkles they wanna have on their faces are from smiling and not from frowning, people!!! so get over it !! if you are not one of those and want to waste time bitching about everything that doesn't go your way , fine ! that's up to you! but don't try to drag the rest with you !!! (yeah ! that's for you Sloane)

Now lets see, I'm pretty much sure that inside of that team are at least two more realtionships to come, and a big scary lion switching teams as well.

Not as hot as I suspected(NSO winning there), but it did had a few good ones.

I'm sorry but for some reason that I'm gonna totally blame Dex for, I couldn't stop myself from picturing some of them ( mainly Sloane and Ash ) like this:

The story is basicallyy a military one, the whole book goes through the development of murder case and we as readers, happen to jump and get along in the ride with them, finding some little secrets here and there, and some feelings coming out as well.

As I said the whole thing is a huge action movie in slow motion going on in your head, with some pent up sexual tension, and a few releases on the way. And huge fix of humor! , Yeah ! that's the more acurate definition I can come up with.

About Dex.. I think the more times he had made me laugh were when he was pissing off Ash, and smile when he was driving crazy Sloane, and that time with the Yogui Bear and the cheesy doodles(I'm not fond of them, but totally get it... take some Pringles out of my hand and I go feral as well(believe me , that happened more than once since I was a kid))

Sloane...well I fraimed him like the tough bitchy guy, but after the first chapters and after coming to know more about him, I couldn't totally dislike him. And after the breakfast incident

I was already like:

over him.

The squad? loved it And seriously I hope in the next books I get to see some love for Ash( which something tells me he is not entirely allergic to nuts) and Hobbs.

NO big quotes for this one, besides the ones that already made me laugh.

All and all, great reading.

Oh God! I couldn’t agree more NORMAL is totally OVERRATED! .
Sixthh book following Destructive Delta Squad from THIRDS story.
This time? Calvin & Ethan.



So yeah! a sweet love bubble formed around these two guys, that f*ck, seriously? They have gone thrugh a lot ..REALLY A LOT good , bad…awful and nightmare-ish things…together
And after struggling they both come to the realization that they are made for each other.
But that doesn’t diminish all the perks of the work they do, and that… just ah…



Tell me if THAT didn’t break your heart even a tiny bit.



Now, you wanna know why the hell I love this series?, as if what you just read above is not enough,XD. Well … this series gives you
• Drama
• Fiction
• a pretty good plot with enough details to let you be absorved into this world and take it as your own
• sexy times
• Enough detiled action scenes that you’ll feel like watching an endless Die Hard movie all along.
• and LOL times so hard that you won’be able to hold the tears in your eyes and your tummy to hurt.(believe me! I’ve been there)

“I think I’ve died and gone to heaven. Except I know I haven’t because Ash is here.”

Dex looked horrified. “I do not want to hear about what this fiend gets up to in the bedroom with my innocent little brother.”
“Innocent?” Ash laughed, receiving a glower from Cael. He cleared his throat. “No, you’re right. It’s all me.”
Cael rolled his eyes.

And that was just a tiny little peek from the Sixth book of the entire series…imagine how it would be…reading it whole
I even cried and ….screamed with this book in particular.
CAN’T WAIT FOR THE NEXT TO COME!

Oh my dear God! When is book 7 coming ?! You just can't leave me like this, I need to know what's gonna happen , please is Dex going to become a therian or something like that?

OMG! And Rafe! Noooooooooooo just no, how could you ? How the author gave him that disease?!!! Argh I spent the whole chapter 10 through tears!
Hudson...just my lively lobito...arghhhhhhhh!

Okay, as you all can see I'm still with a strong hangover of feelings with this book, and I can also say that this is for much, the most emotional book in the series!

Sh*t this is not looking good! I have heartache...not sure how I will sleep, given that's 4am right now!
