My rating: 3 of 5 stars
One more handsome Leokov? Who could say no to that?!
So this series ( ‘cause we have at least 2 more books to come in this one) is nothing similar to Friend-Zone. This series is a bit more dramatic than funny as hell, as the previous one.
So what to say about this one?
Good things?
do I need to say anything else?, kidding!.
So…
MINA
A loving, caring and adventurous soul that due to the adversities in life she’ll end up hiding herself in the streets and relying of the very little kindness she’s able to find in people.
A girl that I actually love, ‘cause …yeah she was homeless, and yeah! Life itself has taught her to not trust in anyone as easily as they come. So she’s like a butterfly coming out of a cocoon and after her final meeting with Lev, she goes through a hell of a great change and she now is a sassy, funny, protective and a bit of alpha girl in order to protect her beautiful savior.
”A face like yours makes men stumble over themselves.”…”faces like yours are carved into statues, immortalized in stone for the world to see over the ages.”…”You are art.”
LEV
He’s the gentleman of anyone dreams, always so proper and respectful with anyone and so not trusting of anyone as well; he’s like a big kid…one that needs to go to a very slow pace…and as he says, not so good at reading people so unless you ‘re direct with him…he won’t be able to understand not even a tiny single bit of it.
Now, MINA AND LEV? goes like this:
* First meeting?--->
I hadn’t heard the door open, but the tall man leaning against the wall had clearly been there a while. His light brown eyes on me, arms crossed over his chest, he looked down at the evidence in my hand and said one word. “Explain”
There goes generosity and kindness in the world, people!
* Getting to know each other?--->
Two lost souls finding each other.
* Sexual tension?--->
Not so much, actually.
* Realizing their roles have changed?--->
* Love is in the air--->
”No one else. It’s you, Mina. It’s always been you.” He spoke softly, “I just needed to find you. Now that I have you, I won’t be letting you go. Okay?”
So adding to the mix a few problems and the super duper (I was fangirling the whole chapter) Leokov family gathering in Max and Helena’s wedding(yeah! You read right!) the whole book was a nice and sweet reading between two souls finding each other in order to be complete.
Definitely a lovely reading, not so hot as I expected… ‘cause basically in that scale I’d rated it very, VERY poorly… but the whole meaning of the book, the virtues and values that nowadays are lost and the whole
Got me interested in it.
